Clair Ridge Lead Roustabout

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Roustabout to join our Clair Ridge team on an enhanced rotation of 161 days worked per annum.  Rotation details will be discussed with successful candidates at interview. 

 

Role Summary: 

 
Provide support to the Deck Foreman in relation to the planning and organising of the deck crew and crane operations in an efficient and safe manner as per company and client requirements. 
 
Work activity includes the safe and proper rigging and slinging of all loads lifted and moved by the offshore unit’s deck cranes and other lifting equipment to include various operational system components and equipment, supplies, containers, tubulars and other materials utilised in the daily functioning of the offshore unit as directed by the Deck Foreman. 
 
During non-crane operational modes, the Lead Roustabout’s work activity includes various maintenance work about the entire offshore unit to include paint preparation, painting, material/equipment movement about the decks, repair and maintenance of systems and equipment within various departments as assigned/directed on a project basis., all role holders will demonstrate safe working practices in line with Company policies, procedures, training and legal requirements. Personnel will ensure their own safety at all times and will assist in ensuring the safety of others by participating fully in the Company Safety Management System. 

 

Responsibilities: 
 
Deck Management: 

  • Direct offload/backload of equipment and materials from supply vessel in an efficient and safe manner. 
  • Inspect and make available safe and proper rigging and lifting equipment. 
  • Ensure tubulars and equipment is unloaded from the vessel, made available and properly stored in line with Odfjell and Client requirements for upcoming operations. 

 

Rigging and lifting: 

  • Provide support to the Deck Foreman in respect of maintaining and inspecting all rigging and lifting equipment in accordance with Odfjell and Client requirements and industry standards. 
  • Provide support, carryout Rigging & Lifting operations as per Lift Plans when required (Level 3 Rigging). 

 

General Operations: 

  • Ensure measuring, labelling, numbering and recording joints of casing and tubulars and adequately protected as per Odfjell and client requirements. 
  • Ensure Performance maintenance and housekeeping work activities in own area for safe and efficient operations. 

 

Supervision: 

  • Carry out planned safety inspections and verifications as directs. 
  • Any other task identified by supervisor within area of experience. 
  • Assist in conducting competence assessments in conjunction with the Odfjell Technology Competence Assurance Management System (CAMS). 

 

Qualifications and or Experience: 

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral 
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of deck management 
  • Crane Operator Stage 1 & 2 
  • OPITO Rigger Stage 2 & 3 
  • OPITO Banksman Slinger Stage 3 & 4 
  • OPITO Rigging Loft Management Training 
  • OPITO Fire Team Leader 
  • Working at Heights Unit 2
